Over the course of 8-10 virtual sessions, participants will read Your Corner Dark by Desmond Hall, a story about impossible decisions a teen must make as he navigates his love for his family and his relationship with the street gangs of Jamaica. Based upon the readings, anchoring themes have been developed to guide our small group discussions.
The themes are broad enough for diverse application to the challenges, aspirations, and issues that influence our daily lives. We anticipate lively discussions led by participants and facilitated by mentors. At the end, we will reset with a new text and a new set of themes.
We have already read two books and are looking forward to number three! So join us today!
Our Fall 2021 session is scheduled to start on Thursday September 30, 2021. If you are interested (and we hope you are!) please sign-up now!
You can fill out the very short registration form and click/tap submit, get the book from your library, or online and start reading!
We can't wait to get started! We will meet on every other Thursday evenings from 8PM to 9PM
